Typical HDPE plastic containers are around 96% product and 4% container by weight. That means that they have the lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions, (GHG) when being transported.

Example: New plastic milk jugs are not from old, recycled milk jugs. It would be insanitary, so all milk jugs use “virgin plastic”. Old milk jugs are recycled and used in other products like composite lumber. So, the material doesn’t go to waste.
